Drogon Systems Exchange:
Features and Functions
Standard Features of the DSX:
Most of these features are controlled by dialling special numbers on
your phone. Eg. *42 is the code to activate call diverting. These are
all detailed in the manual which is available through the devices own
web interface.
Telephones can be nominated as "operator" extensions. These have a
few additional star codes avalable, and get notification when there is
voicemail left on the central or company voicemail box.
Note: These features are standard. There are no
feature licensing mechanisms, you get the lot. The only thing that makes
a different to the price is the hardware platform (up to 60 extensions
or up to 120 extensions), the type of PSTN interface required, the
call-recording module (as it's an additional item of hardware), and any
customisations required.
- Web-Based control panel. This allows you to add and remove (or rename)
extensions. You can nominate which extensions ring on incoming calls,
and assign various permissions to extensions.
- There is a simple 4-level permissions system allowing extensions to
call internal numbes only, UK geographic numbers, UK non geographic
numbers, and full access (including access to international and 09x
premium rate numbers)
- Web-Based voicemail access. With suitable firewall rules in your
office router, you can access your voicemail remotely, if required.
- Call transfer. (From any extension to any other -- either attended
where you can announce the caller to the 3rd party, or unattended where
you just hand-off the call unannounced).
- Call divert. (Divert permanently, on busy or on no-reply to another
extension or an external number).
- Voicemail. (Active all the time, or if your extension is busy,
or doesn't answer).
- Follow-Me: When working at a colleagues desk, you divert your phone
to theirs from that desk rather than from your phone. This can be used
to implement Hot-Desking if required.
- Do-not-disturb. (Keeps your phone quiet when people call)
- Call Groups - One number rings many phones.
- Hunt Groups - One number rings a number of phones in sequence.
- Page Groups - One number rings many phones which auto-answer.
- Intercom groups - One number rings many phones which auto-answer and
let you hear the far-end.
- Call Log facilities.
- DDI (Direct Dial Inbound) control. Allow DDI numbers to ring
nominated phones, groups or the company reception.
- Simple Multi-Tennant facilities - For one company who may trade
under different names.
- Fax to Email server.
- Call Queues - Handle inbound calls in a queue.
- Manual and Automatic "night modes" with various actions possible.
- Inbound Caller-ID to name mapping, and outgoing
speed-dialing. (Room for over 600 entries)
- Three-way calling. This is phone dependent. Not all phones support
the necessary means to set this up, but if they don't, there's always ...
- Conference calling which can connect any number of external and
internal callers in to a conference so they can all speak at the same
time.
- Auto-attendant features. The DSX will answer the call for you and
present the caller with a list of options ie. If you know the extension
dial it now, otherwise hold .... A more sophisticated system can be
implemented, but there is an additional set up fee.
- Answering machine for incoming calls and the system can be placed
in "night mode" which will put all calls through to the answering machine
immediately. The night-mode can also be activated automatically based
on the time of day.
- Voicemail for each extension. Voicemail can be accessed through
any handset, or it can be emailed to the extension user. There is also
a web interface available which you can use to manage your voicemail
messages. (And with appropriate firewall rules in your office Internet
router you can even access your voicemail from any Internet site in
the world)
- Each extension has a set of personal speed-dials and system
speed-dials. There is a web interface that allows the extension user
to associate a name with the number. That name will them be displayed
on the handset when that person calls in. Note that name display on the
handsets is dependent on the handset type and having incoming caller-id
enabled on your line.
- Easy facilities to add SIP trunks to other VoIP services and to
create Internet trunks between DSX systems over multiple sites.
Optional Features of the DSX:
These are provided at additional charge, Please contact us for more
information.
- Call recording. (And you can listen and save calls via a web
interface)
- Custom Interactive Voice Response/Menu system, or other custom
systems to deal with incoming (or outgoing!) calls.
Many other customisations are available to suit your needs, and
Drogon Systems will be more than happy to discuss your exact needs,
and quote is neccessary.
