Drogon Systems are based in Devon and we enjoy living and working here, and are proud to use the Devon Brand.
In recent years, Devon has grown from what might have seemed a bunch of "country bumpkins", to what's now a thriving county with a steadily growing community of small and medium businesses (as well as a few large ones - the Met Office for example!)
Devon is leading the way with recycling and green projects, utilising remote and home working and has excellent local produce almost literally on our doorsteps.
Things you may know about, but not immediately associate with Devon include: Sheepskin rugs - if you see one, flip it over. See if it has "Devonia" on the back. They're made in Buckfastleigh, and you can't mention Buckfastleigh without associating a few other things; the Abbey at Buckfast and Buckfast Tonic Wine and honey. We have Riverford Farm (famous for their vegetable boxes) just down the road from us, Luscombe who make pressed fruit juices, cider, etc. A farmers market in almost every town. Axminster carpets and Burts crisps are made in Devon, and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall liked the county so much he moved here! (Support his Chicken-Out campaign by going here)
And best of all - Cream Teas were invented in Tavistock about 1000 years ago. (The BBC says so, so it must be true!)
All in all, Devon's a good place to be!
